KUALA LUMPUR (IRNA) -- President Mahmud Ahmadinejad on Thursday in a meeting with Iranian tradesmen residing in Malaysia, announced the government's policy on limiting state investments aiming to give the private sector a chance to invest.

The president said that the government has decided to place focus upon people in the administrative system, despite the current difficulties, adding that it will do its best to materialize such a goal.

Ahmadinejad urged that the government should build up the infrastructures to enable the people to continue participating in the current affairs.

"Reforms have been made at higher levels and we are determined to continue the trend down to the lowest levels," added the president.

Prior to Ahmadinejad's speech, a number of Iranian tradesmen representing their colleagues expounded on the obstacles facing them in their economic activities and called on the government for more attention to solving such problems.

President Ahmadinejad, heading a political-economic delegation, arrived in Malaysia Wednesday night on a three-day official visit. The chief executive and his accompanying delegation left Malaysia for Tehran on Friday afternoon.
